Sex Chromosome Turnover in the House Fly

Hi everyone,
At the next meeting I thought we could talk about the house fly and its fascinating variety of sex determining factors within populations. This paper use transcriptomics to try to understand why one of the male determining factors recently has increased in frequency in house fly populations around the world. I’m looking forward to the discussion!

Transcriptome Differences between Alternative Sex Determining Genotypes in the House Fly, Musca domestica

Obs! New location! I booked the room “Mikroben” (Ecology building second floor) for us on Tuesday 8th Nov.

See you there at 10 and I’ll bring some fika,

- Anna
